Behavior Support: Neurodevelopmental Considerations for Care by Rita McMillan, LCSW, Children's Mental Health Specialist, Addictions and Mental Health Division, Salem, OR
Oregon Administrative Rule requires all providers of children's Intensive Treatment Services (ITS) to have in place procedures to manage maladaptive or problem behaviors of the children they serve. An important component to any behavior support program includes a working knowledge of the neuro-developmental factors that effect behavior. Ms. McMillan will be presenting on those factors which often contribute to behavioral dyscontrol and reviewing interventions which have been found to be most effective.
